CAER's industrial services include difficult to obtain analytical testing, assistance with technical problem-solving, and longer-term collaborative research.
The Industrial Support Coordinator is a single point-of-contact who evaluates a given problem, recommends a course of action, provides a free cost estimate, and assures the job is fulfilled in a timely manner.
Since its inception in 1997, this program has completed more than 1200 requests from industry and has served to create an expanded pool of industrial partners for joint proposals and mutually beneficial collaborations.
For more information on this program, contact Dr. Darrell Taulbee, CAER industrial coordinator (Tel: 859-257-0238).
The analytical capabilities at the CAER are extensive and serve two purposes. The advanced equipment housed throughout the 30,000 square-foot building is utilized primarily by scientists to carry out experiments supporting research. Secondly, analytical services are also provided to external clients through the Industrial Support Program. Industry may contract analyses to be performed by experts at the lab. Those services range from single-service consultations to longer-term collaborations.
The CAER Analytical Laboratory offers a wide variety of services from analytical chemistry to materials testing. Our chemists and technicians use the latest techniques and state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation to provide quick and accurate solutions.
For more information about Analytical Tests or Equipment contact Mr. Gerald A. Thomas, Analytical Lab Manager (Tel: 859-257-0282).
