Seiko 5200 Combination TG/DTA-MS
The STA 5200 is used to measure mass changes alone
with reaction and transition changes on a material.
The gases from the furnace are fed into a VG Mass
Spectrometer for identification.
Netzsch STA 449C Jupiter equipped with
a Thermostar MS
Thermal analysis includes a group of techniques
in which specific physical properties of a material
are measured as a function of temperature. The techniques
include the measurement of temperatures at which
changes may occur, and the measure of the energy
absorbed (endothermic) or evolved (exothermic) during
a phase transition or a chemical reaction. The STA
449C is a unique unit in that it can be equipped
with different furnaces (TG or DTA/DSC), which makes
it's a universal thermo instrument. The gases from
the furnace are fed into a Thermostar MS where they
are identified by their unique mass number.
