Agilent 6890 GC System equipped with a
5973 Mass Selective Detector
Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) is
an analytical technique by which a sample is vaporized
and separated into individual organic compounds.
These compounds are then passed into a detector
where they produce mass spectra. Each compound has
a unique spectrum, providing identification. The
6890 GC/MS is used to determine compounds found
in various liquid hydrocarbons.
