  • Jim Hower and Clair Anderson led a high school intern field trip to various sites in Eastern Kentucky.
  • Jim Hower, Lee Clark, Clair Anderson and Marybeth McAlister took the high school interns on a field trip to Cooper Power Station in Pulaski County. It is owned by East Kentucky Power Cooperative.
  • Kevin Henke taught two sections of Geology 220, "Principles of Physical Geology," during the 8 week summer session. He is also teaching Geology 120, "Sustainable Planet" on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the fall semester.
  • Gary Jacobs, Bob Rathbone, Marybeth McAlister presented two hands-on science experiments to the 4th graders at Russell Cave Elementary. The experiments concerned chemical reactions and heat.
