A full day session at the 240th National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, "Hydrocarbons from Biomass (HyBi): Emerging Research," was organized by co-PI Morton and hosted by the Industrial Engineering & Chemistry Division. This conference session was geared toward the NSF EFRI awardees from our award cohort. A total of eleven presentations were given, and Dr. George Antos opened the session with a description of the EFRI-HyBi program. Eight of these presentations were given by NSF EFRI HyBi awardees and were well attended by ACS conference attendees. The two remaining presentations were not specific to any single EFRI awardee having been attracted to the session by its topic.
