    Associate Director/Co-Principal Investigator at University of Kentucky Research Consortium for Energy & Environment, where he supports the US DOE's efforts to complete the environmental restoration of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant through application of emerging environmental technologies. He also manages technical support contracts for the Kentucky Department of Public Health Radiation Control Program in Frankfort, Kentucky. From 1994 until 2004, he supported the Commonwealth's Radiation Control Program oversight responsibilities at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant and the Maxey Flats Nuclear Disposal Site.

    Serves as initial contact person for external technical assistance requests. Research interests include: briquetting and agglomeration of waste materials; binder formulations for coal and biomass; structural chemistry of fossil fuels; utilization of coal-combustion byproducts; and reduction of toxic emissions during the production of metal castings. Expertise is in instrumental analyses - capillary gas chromatography (GC), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR); Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy; thermogravimetric analysis (TGA); SEM; BET; separation by density gradient centrifugation and briquetting.
