Abstract:
Energy is a key component of wealth generation and maintaining a good standard of living. In this presentation, the global and U.S. Energy situation will be discussed. The role of various energy sources will be put into context and projections for future energy sources are presented. The relative contribution of the non-conventional sources and their likelikhood of impacting the energy scene will be considered References will be made to clean fuels, biomaterials and aspects of the "hydrogen economy"
