The Secretary of the Kentucky Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet, Ms. LaJuana Wilcher, visited the CAER on August 12th. She first heard short progam descriptions from each associate director and then toured highlighted labs with the director, the associate directors, and a few staff members of her cabinet.

Dr. Mark Crocker was recently notified that he is soon to have a project funded, the objectives of which are to reduce selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system-costs in coal fired boilers by developing catalysts for use in conjunction with conventional SCR catalysts. The U.S. Department of Energy is sponsoring the project, the total value of which is $72,725.
