The Consortium for Premium Carbon Products from Coal (CPCPC) is focused on the development, commercialization, and promotion of technologies needed to produce high value-added carbon products from coal and coal-derived feedstocks. The consortium was established on June 1, 1998.
CPCPC is industry-driven; its members propose research in areas they identify as strategically important to the coal and carbon/graphite industries. CPCPC is comprised of 50 members who represent a broad array of industries. The group’s spring meeting was held in Lexington, Kentucky and organized by the UK CAER (which is a member). The day and a half meeting included a tour of CAER.
