CAER staff members Katrisha Waldridge (site advisor, far left), Bree McCarney and Glenn Hutcheson (far right) joined a team of incoming UK students for a day of cleaning, scrubbing and painting at the Nature Conservancy of Kentucky located in the heart of downtown Lexington.

The UK FUSION (For Unity and Service In Our Neighborhood) project is a one-day service event during KWeek festivities in August of each year. It is an opportunity for new students to meet returning students as well as UK faculty and staff all while giving back to the Lexington community. FUSION participants spend quality time with Lexington residents and fellow UK students, forming new friendships while gaining a better appreciation and commitment to service in the community throughout the semester.
