Researchers from the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER) Clean Fuels and Chemicals Group (Graham, Jacobs, and Davis) have an ongoing collaboration with the National Institute of Technology (INT), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on the conversion of renewable resources to fuels such as hydrogen for fuel cell devices.

A summary of the work is highlighted in a recent Chemical Reviews article, Production of hydrogen from ethanol: review of reaction mechanism and deactivation.

Chemical Reviews is one of the highest impact journals in the field of chemistry, with an impact factor of more than 40.
