11/01/2011 Archived Entry: "Energy Week in Western Kentucky"
The third annual Plugged In Energy Week, sponsored by the Northwest Kentucky Energy Initiative, began Monday with the first of a series of events designed to provide education about and support for the energy industry.
The CAER helped organize a half-day workshop on renewable energy for area high school students. Dr. Paul Dolloff, senior engineer in research and development at East Kentucky Power Cooperative in Winchester, got Energy Week underway yesterday. More than 100 students from Union, Webster and Henderson County high schools attended the workshop, which took place at the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy in Morganfield.
In addition to his work at EKP, Dolloff is also an adjunct professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Kentucky.
