Representatives of the regional offices of the Innovation and Commercialization Center (ICC) from Paducah, Lexington, Elizabethtown, Northern KY, Ashland and West Liberty learned how CAER can assist them through a lab tour Monday.

The ICC offices are a regional, urban and rural network throughout the Commonwealth whose representatives focus on helping Kentucky entrepreneurs, scientists, and engineers with their business strategies in order to build high-tech businesses throughout Kentucky.

CAER’s role is to work with the IC's clients to develop, perfect, or otherwise help with the validity of a project idea. The CAER Eastern Regional Office has assisted five of those clients on Kentucky New Energy Venture Fund projects.

Funding for this program is provided by the Kentucky Department of Commercialization and Innovation (DCI), a branch of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development.
