The Bluegrass Pride organization received a grant to educate area teachers on Kentucky energy issues. As part of that education, the group toured the CAER. It came at the end of their two-day trip to surface and underground mines and a visit to a power plant. The group heard a timely presentation on energy issues by Associate Director, Don Challman, followed by demonstrations from researchers. One teacher said, "The more I learn about energy, the more complicated it becomes. I see that the issues aren't as black and white as I thought."
