05/13/2004 Archived Entry: "Summer Work will be Performed by Morehead Instructor"

P1010021 (75k image) Jen O'Keefe, a doctoral student in the department of Geological Sciences will be working on Western Kentucky Tertiary Lignites with Jim Hower at the CAER this summer. In her other life she is an instructor of science at Morehead State University and teaches introductory physical science, introductory geology, and science teaching methods for pre-term elementary teachers (starting this fall). This summer she will be working in Jim Hower's lab brushing up on lignite petrology, working on her dissertation, and doing odd jobs, such as visiting power plants or prepping samples.
