05/19/2003 Archived Entry: "Bert Combs Award Goes to CAER Student"
UK graduate student, Laura Tzanetos is one of two recipients for the Bert Combs Scholarship, which will enable her to go to UK’s Law School. The scholarships were endowed in 1992 to memorialize the achievements of Kentucky’s 50th governor, Bert Thomas Combs. She will receive full tuition for three years, along with a substantial living stipend, for a total award of over $30,000.
Laura came to the CAER last January, while a graduate student at the Patterson School of Diplomacy to aide in compiling data for the UK Energy Task Force’s document. She received a Masters in Diplomacy with a concentration in Environmental Economics & Law in December. Her career interests are in Environmental Law. Laura’s undergraduate degree is from Cornell University.
